Not every route gives you the same chance of success.
Route choice is the single biggest factor in whether you summit. Here are the four we run — from budget-friendly Marangu to the highest-success Northern Circuit.
6-Day Marangu
"Coca-Cola Route" · Hut accommodation
- Only route with dormitory huts
- Shortest itinerary — quickest
- Lower success rate (fast ascent)
7-Day Machame
"Whiskey Route" · Best scenery + camping
- Most-loved for scenery variety
- Climb-high-sleep-low on day 3
- Strong summit success (~85%)
8-Day Lemosho
Remote start · Highest summit odds
- Extra day for acclimatization
- Quieter — fewer climbers
- Summit success ~90%
9-Day Northern Circuit
Full mountain traverse · Highest success
- Nearly full circumnavigation of Kibo
- Quietest paths, most acclimatization
- Highest summit success (~95%)

Every climb, planned by Mark. Every quote, direct from Moshi.
Mark runs Frontline Safari from the Kilimanjaro office. When you send climb dates, you get his WhatsApp reply — usually within an hour. When you book, he assigns your lead guide personally from a small team he has climbed with for years.
No booking platform between you and the person who plans your climb. No commissioned sales team padding the quote. You talk to Mark, and Mark is on the ground in Moshi.
Most Kilimanjaro quotes travel through 2–3 layers of resellers before they reach you. Ours don't. You talk to Mark — the person who plans your climb, sets your price, and answers for it on the mountain.
Everything on the mountain is handled.
The number you see is the number you pay. No surprise costs on the trail.

Everything you need to feel confident.
For most first-timers we recommend 7-Day Machame — best mix of scenery, cost, and acclimatization. If you can spare an extra day and budget, 8-Day Lemosho has the highest first-time success rate. Marangu is the cheapest but has the lowest odds. Northern Circuit is for people who want the mountain to themselves.
Send your dates and Mark will recommend the right route based on your experience, fitness, and time available.
Kilimanjaro is a strenuous multi-day trek, not a technical climb — no ropes, no ice axes. If you can walk 6–8 hours a day with a light daypack for 6 days in a row, and if summit night (12–16 hours) sounds hard but not impossible, you can do this.
Preparation: three months of hiking, ideally with elevation gain, and long-distance cardio.
We take a 30% deposit to confirm your booking, with the balance due 45 days before you arrive in Tanzania. Payments go directly to our Tanzania-registered company account — no third-party escrow, no reseller fees.
Cards, bank transfer, and Wise are all accepted. If any operator asks you to send cash on arrival, walk away — that’s not how a licensed operation works.
Everyone feels the altitude above 3,500 m. Longer routes with proper acclimatization profiles have higher summit success. We monitor oxygen saturation twice daily from the second camp onwards and carry emergency oxygen and a portable pressure bag.
Diamox is optional and effective — talk to your doctor before travel.
Yes. Most clients pair Kilimanjaro with a 3–5 day Northern Circuit safari or a beach extension in Zanzibar. Mention it in the form and we’ll draft the combined trip with a rest day between the summit and the next leg.
